Prosecutor’s Office seeks effective detention for former oncology directors
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje has appealed to the decision in which the Skopje Basic Criminal Court has determined the « house arrest » measure for the two former directors accused in the « Oncology » case. The prosecution is demanding effective detention.
– The Public Prosecutor is dissatisfied with the decision and demands that the Court of Appeal reversed in effective detention, as it appreciates that a milder measure cannot guarantee smoothly conducting criminal proceedings. Given that the two charges filed the defendants more serious crimes for which high prison sentences are halted, as well as other circumstances that indicate the danger of escape, the house arrest measure is not sufficiently effective protection – say the BPPO Skopje.
The Criminal Chamber of the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje yesterday imposed a measure « House Probat » to the two former directors of Oncology, Nino Vasev and the organizational director Nehat Nuhi.
– The Criminal Chamber of the Basic Criminal Court Skopje, acting on the proposal of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje, to determine measures to secure the presence against two persons, submitted to the Court together with the indictment on the public case known as « Oncology », after a session in the presence of the parties made decisions against the defendants. and NN is determined by house arrest, and at the same time remains in force the previously determined precautionary measure – seizure of travel document and prohibition on issuing a new one, due to the existence of the circumstances under Art. 165 p. 1 t. 1 of the LCP or the danger of escape – informed by the Criminal Court.
