Prosecutor’s Office seeks detention for medical and organizational director of the clinic in the case « Oncology »
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje, together with the charges filed in the « Oncology » case, also submitted a proposal to the Basic Criminal Court yesterday for detention for two defendants – Medical and Organizational Director of the PHI University Clinic for Radiotherapy and Oncology Skopje.
The defendants are charged with more criminal offenses for which high prison sentences are halted, and the consequence of the crimes committed also includes significant property damage to the Budget of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, which may affect the defendants’ motive.
« In the phase of investigation for these persons, precautions were in force, but by filing the indictment raised the degree of suspicion of the defendants, as well as the certainty of criminal legal responsibility and sanctioning for their illegal actions, » said a statement by Jorgsm.
Due to the danger of escape as a result of the nature and severity of the crimes in which charges have been filed, three defendants – oncologists, have been proposed for precautionary measures – temporary seizure of a road or other document to cross the state border, ie ban on its issuance.
The BPPO Skopje said yesterday at a press conference that two indictments were filed on the « Oncology » case. According to the public prosecutor, Ana Gogovska Jakimovska is divided into two parts – the first relates to the economic work of the Oncology Clinic, which covers the then director and organizational director of the clinic and the second part of the course of the treatment of patients and covers four.
