Prosecutors get fired – is cousin to gang leader

In the summer of 2023, a prosecutor sat in front of his computer screen at work and photographed by documents in an investigation into serious weapons crime. She sent the pictures to her sister.

The information concerned a person who was suspected at the time in the case. The suspect shared first name with Prosecutor’s cousin, gang leader Ismail Abdoand that joking the woman about in her communication with the sister. Among other things, she wrote « I have arrested Ismail », followed by a happy emoji.

The woman also cleared duties From a murder investigation where she herself was a preliminary investigator. In that case, she sent sensitive information, including the name and age of the killed person, to a sibling chat.

– It’s stupid. But I like not … I would not say that I have committed a crime, said the prosecutor in interrogation about his actions.

In the district court, the woman was convicted of two willful crimes against the duty of confidentiality, the judgment was then changed in the High Court to an intentional and a negligent crime.

The Prosecutor’s Office has for one year demanded that the woman be kicked from her service. In a letter to the State Responsibility Committee, the authority also highlighted other serious circumstances. In 2016 to 2019, for example, the woman visited her relative Ismail Abdo about twenty times when he served a prison sentence.

Now the Board of Responsibility has decided that the woman should be dismissed. It is stated that the woman « acted clearly judgmental » when she cleared the sensitive information. At the same time, it is pointed out that nothing in the investigation points to the fact that she would have acted unfairly or in order to benefit criminal interests.

In summary, the Board of Responsibility believes that the woman has grossly violated her duties with the Prosecutor’s Office.
