Prosecution: Teuvo Hakkarainen had 39,000 euros unpaid taxes

Former MEP and MP Teuvo Hakkarainen On Tuesday, he responded to the prosecution of gross tax fraud in the Central Finland District Court in Jyväskylä.

The prosecution states this: Hakkarainen received more than € 107,000 from the European Parliament in 2020. According to the indictment, he neglected to repair and return the 2020 pre -filled tax return for tax avoidance.

Thus, his taxes at that time had been imposed for just under EUR 20,000 too low.

In the tax year in 2021, he received income from the European Parliament about EUR 109,000. At that time, the tax avoidance was about the same.

« I had no intention of not paying taxes, » Hakkarainen said.

« It was about public revenue, there is no way to cheat on them. »

He said he did not expect any problem because he had later paid taxes as a post -tax.
