PRORYSK candidate is portrayed from elections in Romania – appeals
On Sunday, the country's electoral authority made the decision not to let the right -wing candidate Calin Georgescu stand in the election. He has condemned the decision and dozens of his supporters gathered outside the government building, set fire to garbage cans and screamed « freedom » on Sunday evening.
On Monday, Calin Georgescu announced that the decision will be appealed to Romania's Constitutional Court.
The presidential election to be held in May is a result of a previous election in December which was annulled in the Constitutional Court. The Court held that the election had been characterized by voice fraud, irregularities in the campaign and suspected Russian involvement, an accusation that Moscow denies.
Several from the President of the United States Donald Trump's administration has said that the set election is an example of how European governments limit freedom of expression and silences political opponents.

Georgescu is the subject of a criminal investigation and is suspected of six crimes, including membership in a fascist organization and dissemination of false information on campaign financing. He has denied the suspicions.
