Proposed Media Law Amendments, two employees in large portals, one employee and one freelancer in the small ones
At least two employees in the « large » internet portals, and one employee and one freelancer in the small ones, provides for the amendment to the Draft Law on Amending the Media Law, which was adopted today at a session of the Committee on Transport, Digital Transformation, Environment and Physical Planning.

By way of exception to paragraph (11) of this Article, the competent regulatory body shall enter the publisher of the Online Media-Internet portal in the online media publishers registry-internet portals if there is a full-time person and hired a person with a contract, as an online media internet and a smaller internet, or The Register of Online Media Publishers- Internet portals as an online medium- internet portal with a small and/or specialized scope if it does not have the required number of employees, ie engaged persons under Article 15 paragraph (3) indent 4 of this Law.
The amendment education states that it is submitted to distinguish between online media-internet portals that publish informative, educational and entertaining content, ie part of these online media- internet portals only publish informative, educational or just entertaining content, they are published in the form of text, audio or audio. Online media-internet portals publish different content, and in different format, which essentially differentiate the structure and number of employees, ie engaged persons.
The session did not accept the amendment of MP Amar Mecanovic from Levica, who suggested that the internet portals have employed at least one person.
The Commission has decided to follow a Draft Law on Amending the Media Law in second reading in further parliamentary procedure. Members of the Committee on Transport, Digital Transformation, Environment and Physical Planning also reviewed the Draft Law Amending the Law on Second Reading.
