Promotion of trust for turquoise-red-pink-diepresse.com
Finance Minister Marterbauer is the most popular minister in the APA/OGM confidence index. Long -serving politicians from the government, on the other hand, are doing worse.
The new federal government is received by the electorate with a good advance of trust. In the current APA/OGM confidence index, more than half of the government members are in plus, which was last the case in 2020 after the fishing of the turquoise-green government team 2020-before the outbreak of Corona pandemic. According to the survey, the most popular member of the government is Finance Minister Markus Marterbauer (SPÖ), and most other new ones are also good.
Minister of Education Christoph Return (+8), Minister of Justice Anna Sporrer (+6), Minister of Women and Science Eva-Maria Holzleitner (+5) or Minister of Social Affairs Korinna Schumann (+5) in the ranking are also good behind Marterbauer. The best-rated state secretary is Josef Schellhorn (NEOS), and as a best-to-one non-newer, Foreign Minister and Neos boss Beate Meinl-Reisinger (+4) can look forward to. Immediately behind with +3, Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP) joins.
Long -serving cut off worse
It looks less good for previous government members, among which Agriculture Minister Norbert Tettschnig still performs best with a balance from -5. He too was able to improve by ten points compared to August of the previous year. The situation is similar for Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) or Minister of Integration Claudia Plakolm (ÖVP). In the back places, the bosses of the SPÖ and Greens, Andreas Babler (-19) and Werner Kogler (-13), also rank with growth.
Little has changed at the top and at the end of the pyramid of trust since the last index in August 2024. Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen stands at the top with a confidence balance of plus 24 (7 points better than last) and has recovered from his low in the course of the government’s mandate. The third National Council President Doris Bures (SPÖ) follows him just behind him.
Kickl was the only one lost
At the bottom with a balance from -43 is FPÖ chairman Herbert Kickl, who lists the ranking of the worst trustworthy in front of the club bosses of the ÖVP and Greens, August Wöginger (-24) and Sigrid Pilz (-22). Kickl is also the only one who lost to the last survey, and one point. The National Council President Walter Rosenkranz hosted by the other factions because of his fraternal background is the worst among the newcomers with -21 points.
OGM boss Wolfgang Bachmayer sees the good values, among other things, in connection with the fact that inevitable reforms and coarser cuts have so far only been hinted at or being talked about in view of the budget misery. « The only question is how long this honeymoon will last in the media and the electoral population, » he said.
For the trust index, 1,029 representatively selected voting Austrians were interviewed online from April 4 to April 9, 2025. The maximum fluctuation width is ± 3.1 percent. The confidence balance is calculated as a difference between the percentage values »trust » minus « do not trust ». (APA)
