Program of the 17th diversity ball is certain – Diepresse.com

The « Ball of Diversity » becomes colorful, loud, quiet and shrill. Conchita leads the team to artists. Tickets are still available.

With a fashion show, dance and music performances, the program of the 17th diversity ball (powered by Wiener Stadtwerke) was presented on Tuesday evening in the event hall of the Donau Versicherung in Vienna, which takes place on September 6th in the Vienna City Hall. This time, too, everything revolves around diversity, diversity and encounters at eye level. The motto: « Together we rise ».

The highlight of the program presentation was traditionally the Humana fashion show with second-hand ball outfits, which was put together by the stylist Mio Paternoss-musically accompanied by DJane Mel Merio, which will also be launched on the ball (Lovemore Floor Floor Powered by Erste Bank).

Through the evening, the moderators Miriam Labus and Markus Freistätter, together with Amira Awad, will also moderate the ball, whose overall artistic management Manuela Gamper takes over. Around 150 guests accepted the invitation of ball organizer Monika Haider, including singer Päm, GNTM winner 2022 Lou-Anne Gleissebner with her mother Martina Gleissebner-Teskey, artist Franz Josef Baur, Dancing Star-Profi Herby Stanonik and mezzo-soprano Flaka Goranci.

Conchita and Vincent Bueno

The ball is opened by Conchita, which will appear on the main stage in the Arkadenhof – just like later Vincent Bueno (he represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021) and numerous other national and international artists. One of the fixed points of the « Ball of Diversity » is the Deaf Beat Club, where, among other things, the Viennese Djane Anna Ullrich will be on the turntables. Here music becomes vibration – with the whole body, thanks to subwoofers, technical support from Meyer Sound & ATEC Pro.

If you want to sing yourself, whether singing or sign language, you have the opportunity to do so with the music gesture karaoke-with the support of Pam Eden, which translates every song simultaneously into the sign language (ÖGS). And guests can not only dance to waltz, but also, for example, to Latin rhythms from Pura Esencia. Including dance workshops are available with « Lillis Ballroom ».

The dark bar- curated together with the blind and visually impaired association WNB- deprives the sense of sight and gives trust, intuition and voice space. In absolute darkness, blind and visually impaired waiters serve drinks. Next door, Canon’s exhibition « World Unseen » offers photography to feel-pictures in relief printing, supplemented by braille, audio descriptions and ÖGS videos, make it visible how touching art can be-literally. And again this year, ball guides, communication angels and personal assistants are at the side of the guests.

« Price of diversity »

Last but not least, the « prices of diversity » will be awarded this year – in the course of a gala immediately in front of the ball in the town hall. The statues (presented by Magenta Telekom) artist Sabine Wiedenhofer designed. Organizations, companies and individuals are honored who, so to speak, become a DNA of their work. The statues have the title « I am » – a sign of self -determination and dignity consciously set by the artist.
