A private charity fund will invest a million euros in the construction of a sports complex in an account on a walnut hill. The design of the building should soon begin.
By 2027, a modern sports center will be built in the Accept. A new volleyball-basketball hall will be located here. Construction will be financed at the expense of the city (3 million euros) and the private fund P&E Foundation (1 million euros).
“The fund decided to donate last year. Now we are moving on – the city government has decided to conclude an agreement with the donor. The question will be raised on the agenda of our city assembly in the near future, ”said the mayor of the city of Katri Raik at the Infochas in the city council today, March 11.
Design, according to her, will pass the sketch stage, it will be carried out for city funds.
“It was decided to immediately start designing by bypassing the sketch stage. This will more accurately estimate the cost of construction. With a sketch design, the predicted price can walk 25% in any direction. We can immediately get more accurate numbers and move on, ”said Raik.
Raik notes that Narva is a sports city, and at the moment, only one hall in Narva is suitable for basketball and volleyball matches, it is located in the Energia sports school.
“This is a major donation, and we, of course, are grateful to the fund. The city will do everything in his power so that the project moves without delay, ”the mayor added.
P & E Foundation Mtü – Estonian non -profit organization, founded in 2022, known for its charity initiatives. One of its first projects was the donation of the Estonian oncological union to acquire a mobile computer tomograph. This mobile cabinet allows the diagnosis of cancer in the early stages and provides a significantly lower dose of irradiation compared to most existing tomographs.
