Prisoner for two young people « Systemsprenger » – Diepresse.com
A 14-year-old and a 16-year-old received conditional prison terms. The two belonged to a criminal association that has had their limits to their limits for months.
The Federal Criminal Police Office recently used the expression « system sprinkler » when it explained the latest crime statistics. Accordingly, the number of burglary ads, in relation to underage suspicious (under 14-year-olds) or people who have become punishable, has risen sharply. A few of the young burglars were so « eager » that they « blew » the statistics. Two such young people were convicted on Tuesday.
He came to the process with a laugh and also had it funny during the negotiation. So long until he overused the patience of the prosecutor: « They laugh at all the time. They don’t need to sell me for stupid. » We are talking about a 14-year-old who committed burglaries into shops and local as part of a criminal association. The gang consists of strikingly young perpetrators, several of them come from Syria.
The astonishing thing: the 14-year-old, a boy who grew up in several crisis centers in Austria with Serbian nationality, was shown as a prisoner by the judiciary. Although he only turned 14 in March, he has already put it on a criminal record. At the moment, the petite boy, who had come to the negotiation in a blue short -sleeved shirt, is currently serving a ten -month prison sentence. After his 14th birthday, he was still in Vienna as a burglar at night. The children and youth gangs spent their time with stolen cars, some of which are breaknecked. Now the 14-year-old received another nine months and two weeks in prison as an additional penalty. Of these, six months and two weeks were subject to probation.
Dangerous chase
The second defendant, H. (16), fled to Austria with his parents and two siblings from Syria. He too-now in custody-was convicted of commercial and severe burglary theft and unauthorized use of vehicles as part of a criminal association. In addition, H. expressed a guilty verdict for resistance to state authority and negligent bodily harm. The punishment: 15 months in prison, of which ten months.
The sad highlight of the thefts had occurred on March 28th: Some gang members broke into a large car workshop. They brought car keys to them and drove through Vienna with various vehicles. When a police patrol became aware of, there was a chase. H. sat at the wheel and raced head -on to a police patrol. The officials were able to prevent a crash at the last second. A little later the stolen vehicle overturned, two young Syrians were injured and remained. The two now accused ran away.
Judge: « You sleep at night »
The duo taciturn was in the courtroom. The 16-year-old said he started « going out at night ». He met « the others ». Why the parents, who now attended the process with entered expressions, did not prevent the son from being on the way night after night remained unanswered. The judge: « You sleep at night, you go to school during the day. »
Of course, this did not apply to H. He knew: « We went through the streets, then we came up with the idea to collapse. If there was money, we took it if there was no money, we weren’t annoyed either. » How high the number of burglaries was could no longer be clarified. The court assumed 25 in the judgment. « There were about three shops a night, » said H. but this balance is deceptive. According to investigators, the entire (sometimes underage) gang has brought it to around 1,500 burglaries over a year and a half. Once some perpetrators drove to the Kahlenberg with a stolen VW Sharan at night. Judge: « Why? » H.: « Because there is a nice view. In addition, we wanted to break into a kiosk there. »
« I want to be carpenter »
The process manager asked what he had now learned. H.: « If the police follow you, you should stop. » And yes, he will try to improve.
The 14-year-old, in turn, promised to graduate from compulsory school and to make an apprenticeship as a carpenter. Among other things, both convicts were imposed on the instructions to take advantage of probation and to prove school progress.
In the end, criminal gang members caused a head of the head caused the witness to be called. One grinning to the judge grinning: « Know what: I refuse the statement. » Another Knapper formulated: « I refuse the statement. » The instruction that one is obliged to testify in court as a witness to testify was completely empty. It was these moments that revealed a certain helplessness of the Austrian judiciary.
