E-bike purchase: This is how money can be saved

The 71-year-old is chairman of the Kempten-Oberallgäu district association General German Bicycle Club (ADFC). A light bike is easier to steer. This is particularly important for seniors. You also save battery performance: « For example, 20 to 22 kilograms are good, » says Bäucker. « Similar to the car, there are some expensive e -bikes components that you don't necessarily need and that make the wheel heavier. »
E-bike: ADFC offers courses for beginners
“When switching, make sure that not only engine support is operated, but also the chain circuit. So that it stays in good condition. You also drive more powerful. » If you want to save money, you could also do a good service overhauled or professionally prepared e-bike.
« This is also sustainable, » says Bäucker. These e-bikes are called « Refurbished Bikes » in the scene jargon. A large « e-bike reverber » sits in Kempten. « Driving with an e-bike should be practiced, » recommends Bäucker. The bicycle club offers half -day courses in Kempten or more police stations in the region.
Buying racing bike: light bikes are more expensive

“The rush is still very large in this area. The number of cyclists has increased enormously, ”says Bäucker.
