Ria and Louis from Oud-Turnhout have been running out the successful catering company Party Snacks for years. In addition to the well -known fries and snacks, the duo also provides sandwiches on location. The fact that a server problem appeared since Thursday evening, so that all the bookings have already disappeared in addition to all bookings, still leaves a deep impression a few days after the incident.

« There have already been three computer specialists at the door to help us, but nobody knows what the cause of the problem is, » says Ria. « Although our data was kept both in the cloud, they turn out to be disappeared. We also had a backup, but that too is gone, which is really dramatic. »

When Ria wanted to make up the schedules for the next day after a family trip, fate struck. « I immediately became hysterical because everything was gone, » it sounds emotional. « My husband Louis advised me to stay calm and first to sleep, but the next morning we immediately called in the help of our IT person, but he could also not explain what happened. »

A damper at the party joy during an Easter weekend that should be very busy. « It is the first time that we have experienced a disaster like this, » says Ria. « We are really bored with the situation because there was just a busy Easter weekend with communion parties. Up to and including September were fully booked with agreements that even went far beyond our region. »

Although a new mailbox has since been installed, Ria and Louis call on all customers to contact them back by telephone. « There are already people who have called back, but I fear that it is impossible to recover all our bookings. The feeling of powerlessness and suddenly not having anything anymore is really indescribable and to sink into the ground. »

« Yesterday another customer called to ask where we were staying, » explains Ria. « Fortunately I knew how many events were planned, but the location had gone out of my mind. The positive thing about the story was that we were ready and therefore could leave immediately. We share our story as much as possible in the hope that people are all calling back to re -confirm their appointment from zero. All help is more than welcome. »
