President with a new BS Governor’s proposal

The president of the country Nataša Pirc Musar the parliamentary group has notified the new possible candidate for the Bank of Slovenia governor. « In doing so, as before, she took into account the criterion of professionalism, integrity, leadership experiences, as well as the impressions expressed by the deputy groups after the last round of conversations, as she wants to find a candidate who will achieve sufficient support in the National Assembly, » her office said.

The names of the candidate were not revealed at first, but then confirmed that it was Simona Savškahead of the European Investment Bank in Slovenia.

In 2009, Savšek graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. He continued his master’s degree in economics at the European University Institute in Florence. After completing his studies, he joined the analytical and research department of the Bank of Slovenia as an economist and in 2019 he received his doctorate from the Faculty of Economics. In 2014, he started operating at the European Central Bank, and since November 2017 he has been employed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), where he runs the EIB Group Representation in Slovenia.

President is looking for support for the Ombudsman’s candidate

The President, as they added, « continues to seek to provide sufficient support for the candidate for the City of Human Rights City Diana Možina Zupanc.
