President of Iran promises « powerful answer » to Israel

The Iranian President condemned Israel’s “wild and criminal attack” and promised Tehran’s “powerful and legitimate response”.

« We were witnesses of a wild and criminal attack of the Zionist regime against Tehran and other cities in the country, which cost life to innocent civilians, including women and children, as well as military commanders and nuclear scientists, » Masoud Pezeshkian said, without the authorities having given an official balance of the victims.

« This barbaric act, which completely violates all international commitments, reveals the criminal nature of the Zionist regime, whose existence is based on the occupation, aggression and murder of children, » said Pezeshkian, adding that the attacks « demonstrate to the world the truth that will defend it for years about aggression and crimes are inherent in the nature of the Zionist regime. »

He stressed that “Iranian people and employees will not remain silent before these crimes” and added that “the powerful and legitimate response of Iran will cause the enemy to repent of this stupid action”, according to a statement published by his cabinet on the official presidency page on the Internet.

« Just as the Islamic Republic has always made the utmost efforts to maintain peace in the region and worldwide and demonstrated its disposition to dialogue in order to guarantee to the world its efforts in search of peace, it will act decidedly to respond to aggression and defend the nation’s territorial integrity, » he said.
