President Milanovic on foreign workers: ‘These jobs should also work with our children’
President Zoran Milanovic Today is at the award ceremony of awards to celebrate Zagreb Daygave a speech in which, among other things, he referred to foreign workers who come and live in Zagreb and do jobs that he thinks our children should work.
– Zagreb our loved one is my city where I spent my whole life. Zagreb is a synthesis of Croatia as countries, homeland, as a state of political Croatianness, the city of Croats, Serbs, and throughout history and other nationalities. A city that has been filled in the last hundred years and has grown to human contribution and human settlement. First, as a strict Kajkavian little environment, then people from the wider ring began to come, and in the early 20th century, Ličani as entrepreneurs, and then came Dalmatians after World War II, and in a larger number of Herzegovinians, « said the president. Milanovic and pointed out that now we have to face and live with a city that will change in a different way.
He said that foreign workers who come and live in Zagreb do jobs that he thinks we should work for them and our children, reports N1.
– We got a little spoiled. At one point, we will have to see where this border is and what jobs are this is not worthy of us and whether they really need to work at all costs by someone who is not from here and who comes from the far world with their longings, fears, ambitions and abandoned homeland, because these are the same as we do – said President Milanovic.
He also sent a message to the Zagreb city government. He wants the city to be well and strictly guided, but not regime and repressive. He also told them that they were taking money from European Union funds.

– Try to get the last euro of these funds in a legal way, for any purpose, because the worst part is to fail that money. This money is our money, « President Milanovic told them, pointing out that we paid the opportunity to use that money by renouncing the elements of statehood that belongs to the state, as well as all other members, especially less. It is a duty to use these funds – concluded President Milanovic.
In addition to President Milanovic, the Vice -President of the Government and the Minister of Finance, an envoy of the Prime Minister, addressed the attendees. Marko Primorac and the mayor of Zagreb Tomislav Tomasevicwho presented the City of Zagreb awards on the occasion of the City of Zagreb this year’s laureates.
