Referring to the adoption of the TRNC as an observer member to the Organization of the Turkish States, President Ersin Tatar stressed that this is a very important and valuable development for the Turkish Cypriot people.
President Tatar said that the status of the TRNC increased with this development and said that this is a historical step and a historical decision.
President Tatar underlined that the Turkish States Organization is a member of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus under his name and supporting the two -state political struggle given and said that they wanted to continue their way by spreading their own policies as a separate state in the north of Cyprus.

President Ersin Tatar said, “The TRNC is a sovereign state. Recognition is an important element for the existence of a sovereign state. However, without recognition, we determine our own future. We have legislative, executive and independent judgments.
Cyprus is very valuable with its location and strategic importance. We are progressing with the awareness of this. ”
President Ersin Tatar said that he visited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during his visits to Azerbaijan.
