Predoiu, meeting with a European Commission delegation
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Cătălin Predoiu, met on Thursday with a delegation led by the European Commissioner for the budget, anti -fraud and public administration, Piotr Serafin, the discussions aimed at the next EU financial framework.
In his opinion, the ‘sturdy’ approach proposed by the European Commission, based on the principles of civil and military training all dangers (All-Hazards), the whole government (whole-out-government) and the whole society (whole-society) is the solution.
The minister also emphasized, regarding the European training strategy, the importance of budget allocations that follow real priorities.
‘If we want more preparation for all kinds of crises, we need to invest more. We must invest where the impact is maximum – in resilience, in the reaction capacity and the protection of lives, « said Predoiu.
According to a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit of the European Commissioner to Romania, held on Thursday and Friday, is part of the Pan -European consultations – a series of meetings, which debuted at the beginning of the year, with the decision makers, the regions, the citizens, the business environment and other relevant interested parties from the Member States, in order to prepare the proposal for the next European Financial Finan.
The European Commissioner Piotr Serafin has the task of conducting the activity of preparing the next long -term budget of the EU and facilitating a slight transition from the current to the next budget.
At the same time, he has among responsibilities to protect the EU budget and fight fraud to ensure that compliance with the rule of law remains imperative for EU funds.
