Predoiu, at floods: the system worked well
Interim prime minister Cătălin Predoiu said on Sunday, during the visit made in the floods affected in Covasna county, that the emergency system worked well, acted on time and the evacuation of over 200 people, so that there were no losses of human lives.
‘The conclusion of all, and of the prefect here, locally, but also ours, at the center, based on the data, communications, measures taken, the results obtained is that the system worked well, was viable and acted on time. The most important thing is that we had no losses of human lives. Today, we make an evaluation in the field that, beyond what we have as a preliminary information, transmitted at that time, to see what is the extent of the damages, to get an idea of the Government, to know about what we can face in terms of support and assistance, « said Predoiu.
The head of the Government also wanted to convey a message of empathy and understanding to the population affected by the floods, assuring that the central authorities are with the people who have suffered damage.
Predoiu mentioned that until this date, no material and financial assistance requests were not sent to the Government, but that the damage will be covered.
