President and founder of Globsec Robert Vass said that in the 20 years the conference was taking place, there was never a more difficult period in international and global policy. « It’s not just a period that can be survived, but it is a transformation period that the world will not be the same, » Vass said.
The main slogan this time is « Time for Europe to Step Up », which, according to Vass, is a challenge for Europe to go from speech to deeds. « What is going on in the world is the last wake-up call for Europe. If we do not take it seriously, it will have the consequences for decades ahead. If Europe is not standing to save the world order, which is based on rules and common principles, no one else will do it, » said President Globsec.
The main topics of the 20th year will be the second term of office of US President Donald Trump and his impact on global trade, transatlantic relations and global order, as well as the current EU political cycle with a focus on defense, expansion, competitiveness, energy security or migration.
The subject of discussions will also be the fourth year of the conflict in Ukraine and its deepening economic and military consequences and also the situation on Middle East and the growing importance of the global south.

In parallel to Globsec, the Prague Geotech Summit will also take place, which will include technology visionaries, business managers or creators of various policies who will deal with penetration of top technologies with national security or geopolitics.
