« These are huge packing volumes we handle in Postnord these days because the Danes have clicked goods home in great style during the holidays. That in the early summer months we suddenly experience quantities, as we know it from Black Friday, testify to a continued rising e-commerce market in Denmark, » says Isabella Beck Jørgensen, press manager at Postnord.

E-commerce is an integral part of everyday life

The Danes have seriously made e-commerce a regular part of everyday life.

According to PostNord’s latest e-barometer, 8 out of 10 Danes have been shopping online for the past month.

Just as many have also traded online from foreign webshops last year with big favorites such as China, Germany and Sweden.

« The Danes shop on the web like never before, and it can be felt on the packing volumes. Therefore, we are constantly and adjusting and efficiently adjusting our network of parcel shop and boxes around the country, and we have also chosen to run out with home packages in selected areas both Saturday and Sunday so that everyone can get their packages on time, » says Isabella Beck Jørgensen.
