Pope Francis remained an unfinished one
After the visible and audibly weakened Francis Donated the Easter blessing on Sunday, the believers applauded him. Then he let himself be driven across St. Peter’s Square in the open papamobile. From the point of view of his doctors a horror: The 88-year-old had just escaped death recently, would have been easy to avoid contact with crowds. But even a few hours before he died, this Pope still fulfilled with life, for which he had occurred in his tenure: for the proximity and facing with people, for a poor, modest and humble church. And once again he knew how to set an example with his last appearance: trust in God-and trust in the (co-) people-can strengthen one and give hope!
Like no other Pope in front of him, he managed to work through gestures, signs and symbols
Like no other Pope in front of him, Francis was one of the gestures, signs and symbols – and one who knew how to make the cheerful message so heard, also on social media. The great reformer He was not a church that seemed partly frozen, which many saw or wanted to see in him. However, he hit a path that is healing for the church: closeness, poverty, modesty, humility. Francis remained an unfinished one, the more it would now need a successor who is ready to go on this way.
