Deputy Victor Ponta, a candidate in the first round of presidential elections, announced on Wednesday that he was making a political platform -‘Romania in the first place’ -, in which he is waiting to join the parliamentarians, mayors and leaders from the economic environment, including from the PSD.
‘Today I met’ VP team ‘and made together the following decisions: we continue the political battle on behalf of the 1,240,000 Romanians who trusted and voted on May 4 for’ Victor Ponta Plan from the crisis’, we launch the political platform ‘Romania in the first place’ (as a political structure in which the Pro Romania, the Romanian Party, the Party, and the Romanian Party, for presidential elections). This platform aims to defend the legitimate rights and interests of Romanian citizens to national and personal safety, to education, health, pension and place of work rewarded; Also, the guarantee for the Romanian companies of a stable and predictable fiscal and economic environment. We hope to join us as soon as possible parliamentarians, mayors and leaders from the economic environment, « Ponta wrote on Facebook.
He added that together with his team he decided to invite the two candidates left in the presidential race to specify their clear positions and concrete actions against the economic measures proposed in the ‘Ponta plan for leaving the economic crisis’ and to announce without hesitation the main governing measures and the most important representatives in the economic field.
‘We call on collaboration and unity for all supporters, PSD members and elected officials who did not have a candidate for these presidential elections and were forced and blackmailed to support a person who had nothing to do with the values and interests of the voters they represent. We have a common debt to keep up with the changes in the Romanian society and in the world, to rebuild a professional alternative, with economic and social solutions, but based on the national values and on the current expectations of Romanians, to combat clientism and the lack of competence that have disappointed the electorate and have directed it to extreme solutions. There must be no pride, no rancids and personal interests that stop this necessary process, « said Ponta.
