The government will decide next week that the Ponikva resort will give the Ministry of Health as a facility for prolonged medical care and the rehabilitation of the injured in the fire in Kocani.

Not only medical and physiotherapeutic care, but also psychological, as well as social support, will receive the injured from the tragedy in Kocani who will be allowed to be rehabilitated at the Ponikva resort.

-The Ponikva resort has 27 rooms and 56 beds, located in a natural and peaceful environment, making it extremely suitable for patients who are already in the process of treatment that requires physical and working therapy. These are patients who are already stabilized, but with a real need for further treatment, in order to prevent and reduce the long -term consequences of burns, as well as other possible complications associated with longer -term treatment. Patients will be planned to be distributed in several groups and cycles of therapy, in order to provide a personalized approach to each individual case, in accordance with doctors’ recommendations. In addition to medical care, this measure has an important psychological and social aspect. Enabling residence in this type of facility will contribute to mutual support between patients and improve their psycho-emotional situation-said Miteva.

According to government spokeswoman Maria Miteva, an operational plan is already being done, which will include a plan of medical staff that will take care of patients.
