Pommelien Thijs went for a drink last Friday on the terrace of Café Ventura in Ghent. The most famous Fleming of the moment was with part of the crew of the series Knokke Off. One person had not recognized her at all.
The Gezusters Leyers, Otto-Jan Ham, Peter van den Begin, Annelien Coorevits, … The list of well-known Flemish people who has already started drinking something in café Ventura on the Friday market in Ghent is getting longer every weekend. But on Friday evening, managers Lino van Reeth and Els De Waele were perhaps the most famous Flemish people of the moment.
Pommelien Thijs, dressed for the occasion in a gray sweater, blue jeans, black sunglasses and a cap with bears on, came a drink on the Friday market with a few crew members from the series Knokke Off. Director Anthony Schatteman, actor Willem de Schryver and actress Ayana Doucouré were already present.

Don’t ask for café boss Lino Van Reeth what Pommelien drank. « At that table I started to say goodbye to everyone because I know a few people of it, but I hadn’t recognized Pommelien, » says Van Reeth. « She can clearly go through life incognito. At least she was very friendly. »
Van Reeth must confess that his children do not listen to Pommelien’s music. « Billie Eilish is just about the most modern one. They also listen to music that is even before my time. »
