Polish Audi broken up on A1 in Germany. Two passengers escaped, one died

The drama took place on Tuesday morning, March 4, in the west of Germany. Black Audi rushed through the A1 highway towards Hamburg on Polish registration numbers. At some point, the car invaded the rear of the truck. The collision force was so great that the car reflected, fell into the protective barriers and stopped on one of the lanes.

According to witnesses, there were three men in the vehicle. They got out of the wreck and rushed to escape. A moment later one of them was fatally hit by the oncoming Volkswagen Passat. His driver failed to brake and was also seriously injured.

The other two men disappeared into the dark. The police immediately started searching – a helicopter rose into the air. The area was combed by officers with tracking dogs and drones. According to « Bild », balaclavas and tools were found in a broken audi, which could suggest Passengers' relationship with criminal activities.

– We cannot immediately assess whether these items are related to the crime, but their presence in this context raises serious questions. In addition, we are looking for men because they may be wounded and they may need help – said a police spokesman in an interview with « NDR » television.

Further accidents in traffic jam

Due to the first accident, a giant traffic jam formed on A1. A few hours later there was another tragedy-a 53-year-old truck driver did not manage to brake and hit the trailer of the vehicle standing in front of him with impetus. The trucks collided like domino. One of the drivers died on the spot, the other was seriously wounded and firefighters had to get him out of the cabin.

Around noon there was a third accident. The young woman, driving at high speed, did not notice the end of the cork and hit the back of the truck. Despite the rapid intervention of her life rescuers, she could not be saved.

The A1 motorway towards Hamburg remained completely closed for many hours. The police still examined who the passengers of the Polish Audi were and why they fled so desperately.
