BRATISLAVA. The Ministry of the Interior introduced a new design of police cars. According to the Minister of the Interior Matúš Šutaj Eštok It is unique in its recognition and color.

The Minister said this at a press conference, saying that this new design clearly refers to the Police Force and State Symbols.

“It is original, Slovak, with an overlap to the EU standard. Is comparable to the solutions of our neighbors in Austria. Poland, France or Portugal”Said Šutaj Eštok.

The concept of redesign is based on three pillars, namely symbolism, variability and authority.

“When we talk about symbolism, it is unique, recognition and color, with a clear reference to the police force and the symbol of our country. If we are talking about the pillar of variability, then I want to talk about the simplicity, durability and elements of the design, which are widely usable and variable, « said Šutaj Eštok.

« If we are talking about authority, which is an essential part of the Police Force, we are talking primarily about a top design designed for a dynamic police vehicle complemented by dark elements to increase seriousness and authority, » he added.

The Minister further stated that new police cars would be designed by the new sticker. As he informed, several public procurement is currently launched in the case of vehicles for the Interior Ministry.

Unmistakable cars

Police President Jana Maškarova said he welcomes new stickers on police cars. According to her, they will thus become unmistakable with other motor vehicles because they highlight belonging to the Police Force.

Maškarová pointed out that the police were performing interventions day and night and must be recognizable for citizens to know who intervene against them or who is doing another service activity.

Mikulci misses reflective elements

Exminister of Interior and Member for the Movement Slovakia Roman Mikulec He said that the new police car design does not contain reflective elements. The cars will therefore be little visible on the road. Good car visibility also protects its crew.
