Police Brussels West bumps on kilos of cannabis in car full of children (remarkable)

The local police of the Brussels West zone arrested two people on 17 May who drove around with a kilo of cannabis in their vehicle. It was striking that there were also four young children in the car and that the drugs were hidden under their toys.

A police patrol noticed the vehicle of the two suspects, a Volkswagen Tiguan, on 17 May around 3.10 pm on the Metwielaan. The two caught the attention of the inspectors because they behaved suspiciously. They continued to turn around to look at the police, manipulated their smartphones and looked anxious and worried. At the back of the car there were also four small children who were not properly clicked.
The police inspectors decided to be checked of the vehicle, and immediately noticed a strong cannabis scent. When the vehicle was searched for this, it turned out that 1,044 kilograms of cannabis were hidden under the pockets of the children.
« The two suspects and the children were transferred to the Fouille and thorough interrogation commission, » says the Brussels West police (Jette/Ganshoren/Koekelberg/Sint-Jans-Molenbeek/Sint-Agatha-Berchem). « Both suspects were known by our services and during a house search at the first suspect we found 20,033 euros and a firearm Glock 9 mm with ammunition, and with the second suspect another 7,000 euros. »
The two suspects were made available to the public prosecutor after interrogation. One of them was released after interrogation, the other was placed by the investigating judge under arrest order.
