Police broke on ‘Car Meet’ in the west of Zagreb. Seized one car, and discovered a series of offenses
The Zagreb police officers on the night of Sunday carried out the supervision of vehicles and drivers who gathered in large numbers in parking lots in shopping centers on Ljubljana Avenue, in the west of the city. Specifically, these were a number of participants of the « Car Meet Scene », with the presence of police officers to prevent possible unlawful behaviors as well as behaviors that would upset citizens or have resulted in disturbing their peace.
The supervision of a total of 49 cars has been determined by a total of eight offenses:
- Three offenses of not using a security belt,
- Two offenses due to an unrequited license plate,
- one offense for the technical malfunction of the vehicle,
- one offense for driving under the influence of alcohol and
- One offense from the domain of the Ministry of Finance (customs offense) and the vehicle was confiscated.
In this case, the aforementioned activity of the traffic police of the Zagreb Police Directorate is controlled by the western part of the city and will continue to monitor the gathering place throughout the city as well as all those locations suitable for such vehicles and drivers meetings.
The aim of the activity is to act preventively and repressively on compliance with traffic regulations and raising traffic culture for the safety of all participants, with respect to public order and peace, since no often noise is disturbing the quality of life of citizens at such gatherings.
