This week in Estonia, road Toloka started, within which the police pays special attention to observing the speed regime. The main goal is to recall that the safety on the roads should come from the desire of each participant in the movement to protect himself and others.
This year on the site www.liiklustalgud.ee 4133 places in which violators exceeding speed were observed were noted. Almost half of the observations came to various places in Kharyumaa, followed by messages from Tartumaa (there are 694) and from Povarnumaa, there are 307 of them, as well as 210 messages from Lyaen-Virumaa.
In Tallinn, the most problematic places were the street of A. Kh. Tammsaare, Paldian, as well as Tartu and Povarnskoye highway. And in Tartu, the largest number of dashings was noticed on Ringee and OA Street, in Pyarn-on the streets of Kulds Codes, Echita-dee and on the Riga highway. In Narva, the concern of local residents are caused by Kangelast Avenue and the Tallinn-Narva highway.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Sirle Loyo notes that the number of appeals is growing, and this shows: people feel vulnerable on the roads. “Problem zones are not only busy highways, but also residential areas. Especially people are worried about the morning hours of peak, night racing and truck movement along the city streets, ”Loyo said.
