Police arrest man (31) who had entrenched himself in Wellen (Wellen)

Around 10 o’clock, the Haspengouw police zone was informed that the 31-year-old man would have shot an air pressure weapon on his father’s vehicle. There were no injuries. Upon arrival of the police, the person concerned appeared to have entrenched himself in his home. The special assistance team of the police was asked on the spot and the street was closed to traffic for a while. The nearby streets and the Landdiestraat that are in line with Kleinaartstraat were also closed. When the special social assistance team arrived, they too were shot at the air pressure weapon, but no injuries fell.

Around 1.30 pm the 31-year-old suspect himself came out of his home and was arrested. The public prosecutor sent the lab and a ballistic expert on the spot and progressed an investigating judge. The further investigation is conducted by FGP Limburg under the leadership of the investigating judge.
