Police are still looking for savages from the highway: ‘They were lately caught by cars, it was terrible to watch!’
On the highway to Zadar, at 166 kilometers, two cars were chasing and pushing each other into the fence, but also overtook the scissors. It was scared to watch, at one point even a camper was found between them, and that is seen in the videos. We immediately contacted the police – said shocked readers of 24 hours who witnessed scenes like a film action thriller, but in reality on the Croatian A1 motorway in the middle of Lika.
On Wednesday, we were received by disturbing footage from vehicles that recorded a frightening road calculation between Volkswagen drivers and Renault Clija. The footage clearly shows that the vehicles are repeatedly collided, trying to push each other off the road. The drivers literally waged their private war in the middle of the highway, not paying attention to other road users.

Pursuit on the road
– These were not ordinary provocations, they literally scored. At one point, we thought one car would roll over the other. It was terrible to watch – said one of the drivers, who at the time of the incident was a few vehicles behind.
The situation culminated when a camper found a camper between the two chasing vehicles. The vehicle, which in all likelihood, transported children, literally was clenched between two savages who showed no intention of comparing.
– The camper barely pulled out without a scratch, but that’s pure happiness. This was close to the disaster – another witness said.
The drivers who witnessed the event immediately informed the police. A few minutes later, police vehicles were seen rushing in the incident direction. However, it is still unknown whether the participants were identified and stopped.
From the 24 Hours Lika-Senj, they briefly confirmed: « We have received a report of the event and take all the measures to identify and find the driver. » They emphasized that the responsible ones would be taken by law prescribed, depending on the results of the investigation.
This behavior is not only a traffic offense, but a potential and criminal offense of threatening traffic safety, for which the law also provides for prison. Experts warn that such scenes are extremely dangerous for the highway where high speed is reached.
– This was not chasing for a party. This was an attempt to dominate the road that could easily end with a tragedy. People like these should no longer sit at the wheel – concludes one of the drivers still in shock.
