BRATISLAVA. Police have accused the former Minister of the Environment Ján Budaj.
« The Investigator of the Office of Combating Organized Crime has accused JB for continuing the crime of breach of duty in administration of foreign assets in connection with inefficient, uneconomical and ineffective use of the Department of Environmental Budget Chapter, » the police wrote on its own Facebook.
According to her, the damage to the state budget totaling almost 570,000 euros occurred.
The Minister of the Interior was confirmed on the social network that it is a former environmental minister Ján Budaj Matúš Šutaj Eštok.
« Let the former Minister of the Environment Budaj be proof that there is a law above all in Slovakia. All the more so when it comes to politicians, » he said.
He claims that his obligation as the Minister of the Interior is to ensure that all law enforcement authorities can do their work professionally and without interference. According to him, the citizens’ trust in justice and the rule of law can be restored.
« I want to emphasize that the police are acting on the basis of law, not political instructions, as it was in the times of the previous governments. I will not create any ‘memoirs’ as my predecessors did and I will not participate in any political games.
