Ukrainian polarists have shown the process of closing for the winter of magnetometric probes, through which scientists explore the low -frequency (NNC) radiation.

Scientists were carried out under the careful supervision of penguins. One of these « support groups » showed at the National Antarctic Scientific Center.

In the video of geophysics Anna Sina and Alexander Bogomaz are closed for winter magnetometric probes to protect them from damage. Their actions are closely observed by the penguin group, which, although standing at a distance, but closely « control » the process.

The polarists explained that magnetometric probes were needed to measure low -frequency radiation, which, in particular, track global thunderstorm activity.

These devices are very sensitive, so they are packed in wooden boxes covered with rubber and fabric. From above, scientists additionally lay them with a large number of stones.

To do this, we had to wear a lot of stones. And the penguins were indignant and fascinated what we do « – said Anna Sina.

We will remind, in winter near the Ukrainian research station « Academician Vernadsky » began the hatching season of penguins and other birds such as Dominican Martin.

Polari showed how adult birds Feed penguin, and told about a unique familyconsisting of three kids and their parents.
