Point tolerance on Thursday afternoon

The government will grant point tolerance to state workers on the afternoon of Holy Thursday, the 17th. The order was signed Monday by the Prime Minister.

« Point tolerance is granted to workers who perform public functions in the services of the State Direct Administration, whether central or deconcentrated, and at public institutes in the afternoon of Holy Thursday, April 17, 2025, » reads in the order, quoted by the Lusa Agency.

In the document signed by Luís Montenegro is justified the tolerance of point with the usual practice of traveling many families out of their places of residence during the Easter period.

Point tolerance are, however, excluded « services and bodies that, for reasons of public interest, should be in operation at that time, in terms to define by the member of the competent government. »

For workers who do not enjoy tolerance on Thursday, the maximum leaders of the services and organisms to which they belong to “must promote the equivalent dismissal of the duty of attendance” in due course to fix it in due course, “without prejudice to the continuity and quality of the service to be provided”.

State workers now come, besides the holiday of Holy Friday, the afternoon of Thursday.
