Being special, succeed and raised on the meritocratic ladder is the main preoccupation of the trier’s heroes.
All the opposite leads to anxiety, depression, feeling of failure and execution.
And in loneliness.
Minimalist style
The sixth film of Joakima trira with which he arrived in Khan – « sentimental values », is intimately, a touching and witty family research, memories and art as the forces of delivering and reconciliation.
It’s a drama about a broken family, after the death of the mother.
Two adult daughters – Nora (Reinsva) and Agnes (LilleAas) are grieving for their mother, when their absent father (Skarsgard) suddenly returns.

Rajhard explores how social and political changes of that time affect individuals on the margins, which is a common topic in her films.
Although it deals with the topic of the artwork « The Mastermind » reserves a recognizable minimalist style of this exceptional authors, subtle dialogues and focus on the characters fighting with its own identity and a place in society.
BI Gan, a brilliant Chinese filmmaker, presented its latest film « Resurrection », hypnotic, visually astonishing Odyssey through times, dreams and Chinese history.
In a dystopian world where the dreaming causes the exception: Fantasmer (Jackson YEE), a figure that defies the rules and continuously reincarnated through various epochs 20th century.
His journey leads us through key moments of Chinese history, including transition to a new millennium, symbolizing the transition to capitalism while retaining political conference.
The film is a mosaic of miraculous sequences: from the expressionist world of the film, through the war conflicts in the mirror store, to meet the spirit of bitterness in a remote temple.
