Plucked all over the country

The big steak day is today and various events took place across the country on that occasion.

Björn Skúlason, husband of President Halla Tómasdóttir, President of Iceland, formally launched a big steak day at Sorpa’s recycling station in Equation in Breiðholt, but pickers in all parts of the country did not leave and gathered all kinds of trash and junk both in dense and rural areas.

In Akureyri and Sauðárkrókur, a group of volunteers from the Rotary Club went to the plucks.

Plockers received refreshment after the work

A powerful group was able to work in Kelduhverfi in the Northern Parliament. The event was a collaborative project of Rotary shot in the northeast and the Women’s Association of Keldhverfinga.

All trash along the highway through the countryside was cleansed as stated in the post of Gudmundur Baldvin Guðmundsson, former local councilor.

Tálknafjörður was plucked in good weather. The attendance was fine and a refreshment was offered after the pipe.

Fish in Thingeyri and dozens of bags at Flúðir

The results of Thingeyringa filled two big fish and better than that. Spitting and iron drains will be established at a recycling center and old center stove will find a better site.

Thingeyring came together and plucked… this is the result - a joyous steak day.
