Plopsa Coo becomes Plopsaland Ardennes
The Plopsa Coo amusement park in Stavelot (Liège) is renamed Plopsaland Ardennes. The Belgian amusement park operator Plopsa, part of Studio 100, announced this on Thursday. The name changes are part of the European growth strategy of Plopsa.
By using the name Plopsaland from now on for all its outdoor parks, the company wants to build a strong and recognizable brand over the national borders, it sounds. Just as the indoor parks fall under the name Plopsa Indoor and the water parks under Plopsaqua, all large outdoor parks are now also housed under the name Plopsaland. The German amusement park Holiday Park Germany in Haßloch, in the German state of Rhineland-Palts, is going to be called Plopsaland Deutschland.
With the new name for Plopsland Ardennes and Plopsaland Deutschland, investments are also accompanied by both parks. In Plopsaland Ardennes this summer a brand new theme area around Maya De Bij, with three new family attractions. In Plopsaland Deutschland we are working on an investment plan of more than 100 million euros. Later this year the construction of a new water park starts there: Plopsaqua Haßloch.
According to Xavier VERELEN, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer of Plopsa Group, it is a conscious and logical step. « With one powerful and recognizable brand name we increase our visibility, we strengthen our positioning abroad and make it easier for visitors to recognize our parks. »
« The name changes are not an end point but a start, because we believe enormously in our brand, » says Carl Lenaerts, CEO of the Plopsa Group. « We continue to invest further in the future of our parks and in our European ambitions. »
According to Plopsa, the renewed website will be launched this week.
