Prime Minister and HDZ Andrej Plenkovic On Tuesday, he said that the local election campaign was calm and engaged, pointing out that the HDZ seeks to present its achievements and results at the local and national level, while the opposition invent the thesis and the flosses that mislead people.

« The campaign on the ground through us is still quietly, but also very engaged in cities, counties and municipalities, » Plenkovic said after a session of the Presidency and the National Committee of the HDZ.

He recalled that the HDZ, together with partners, had support in 75 percent of Croatian counties, 45 percent of cities and 45 percent of municipalities, emphasizing that such a kind of trust obliges and that he would try to renew confidence there.

Asked if there were too many municipalities and cities, he said that the number of municipalities and cities in Croatia did not mind because they are part of an identity.

« The municipalities, cities and counties are now part of the identity of contemporary Croatia, » said Prime Minister Plenkovic.

« We expect that in one correct, fair and argumentative discussion, all those who are in the campaign with our slogan and the program ‘National Forces and Local Vision’, let us present achievements at the local and national levels regarding even regional development, » Plenkovic said, mentioning functional and fiscal decentralization, as well as many projects across Croatia.

He rated the « floss and demagogic remark » by SDP leader Sinisa Hajdas Doncic.

« They have done nothing for Croatia in the past 10 years, but they are ready to bring people to some quasi-fictional thesis modeled on last year’s parliamentary elections, but much less intensity, » Plenkovic said.

Herman points to what is not good in the city and offers solutions

He also referred to the HDZ candidate for mayor of Zagreb, Mislava Herman, saying that it was a doctor, an energetic, family man who does a good campaign, points to what is not good in the city and offers solutions.

« Numerous Zagreb levels at the level of Zagreb, at the national level, except perhaps one, do not exist if the current mayor is switched on, so I think that match of the dispersion of votes in Zagreb is very visible, » he said.

On the eve of the first year of his third government, Prime Minister Plenkovic assessed his cooperation with the coalition partners to the good and said that there was a lot of work to do in front of them.
