Pivc and TGZS plead guilty, Pivcheva will pay $ 10,000 in fines
The former minister Aleksandra Pivec and TGZS – The Chamber of Tourism and Systist pleaded guilty to the European Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the Strategic Development Innation Partnership (SRIPT) and concluded an agreement with it. The court then imposed a fine of EUR 10,000 in Pivc and the TGZS suspended fine.
Judge of the Ljubljana District Court Marjeta Dvornik has adopted a plea agreement after today’s pre -trial hearing, by European Delegated Prosecutor Matthew Oštir concluded former Agriculture Minister Pivec, and an agreement on the recognition of criminal liability concluded by the Chamber of Tourist and Mostine of Slovenia (TGZS) or. its current director Fedja escapes.
The judge then made a judgment in which Pivc was found guilty of assistance in alleged crimes to former TGZS director Claudia Perger Between April 2017 and September 2018. Perger’s actions are accused by the implementation of the SRIPT project, which as director of the TGZS applied for a call for proposals by the EU Economic Ministry. A pre -trial hearing was also announced for her, but was canceled.
Repayment of fines on 20 installments
Pivc, also former president of the DeSUS party, and today an independent entrepreneur, pleaded guilty to assist in fraud on EU harm, to perceive and use a loan or benefit, and to abuse the situation or trust in economic activity. Because she helped Perger in a smaller part and with minor injuries, the judge imposed a single fine of € 10,000. She will repay this in 20 installments, if not, she is threatened with a prison sentence.
TGZS has pleaded guilty to fraud on EU damage and for the diversion in obtaining and using a loan or benefit. The judge awarded her a suspended fine of € 55,000, which she will not pay if she was not responsible for new crimes within one year. In favor of TGZS, it was, among other things, that they had already settled the damage and that they resolved Perger’s immediately after the suspicion of the irregularities.
At the heart of the investigations was the suspicion of committing the crime of fraud on the damage of the EU, which amounted to just over € 100,000. This money was returned by TGZS to the Ministry of Economy.
Meanwhile, in the second procedure, TGZS sues Pivc, who was among the external staff of the SRIPT project at a time when State Secretary was at the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad. She received just over € 26,000 with the help of copyright contracts and reports performed.
