Piedone took over the hypermarkets again
The commissioners for consumer protection applied, on Friday, fines worth 250,500 lei, following thematic and operative controls carried out at seven economic operators, and temporarily stopped the activity at a Kaufland unit in Sector 2 and a Profi store in Sector 4.
« On 30.05.2025, from the disposition and under the coordination of the president of the National Authority for Consumer Protection, Mr. Cristian Popescu Piedone, the commissioners within the Commissariers for Consumer Protection 1-6 carried out a series of thematic and operative controls. Invitations and a report of finding. the provision of services for: Kaufland, Șos.
The following units were controlled: Profi Rom Food, str. Sf Friday no. 21A, sector 3, where fines of 10,000 lei were applied; Profi Rom Food, str. Aleea Gura Caliței, no. 53, sector 3 – fines of 15,000 lei; Profi Rom Food, B-dul 1 December, no. 21, sector 3 – fines of 12,000 lei; Profi Rom Food, str. Nerva Traian 17-19, sector 3-fines of 53,000 lei; Profi, Șos. Berceni no. 183 B, sector 4 – fines of 25,500 lei; Carrefour Market Dr. Taberei, no. 124, sector 6, the economic operator was sanctioned with two fines worth 20,000 lei and 2,000 lei, respectively; Carrefour Market, Economu Cezărescu str. 34-42, sector 6-fines worth 11,000 and 2,500 lei respectively.
Also, they were controlled: Mega Image September 13 no. 77, sector 5; Mega Image Shop & Go Calea 13 September, no. 75 – 79, block 73 – 75, ground floor, sector 5; Mega Image Amzei Square no. 10-22, sector 1-where three sanctions worth 13,000 lei were applied; Mega Image str. Di Mendeleev, no. 21-25, sector 1-two sanctions worth 8,000 lei were applied; Mega Image str. Traian no. 197, block 22B, sector 2 – fines of 5,000 lei and a warning; Kaufland, Șos. Pantelimon, no. 244 – 246, sector 2 – four sanctions worth 53,000 lei were applied; Lidl Șos Pantelimon no. 161, sector 2 – two sanctions worth 20,000 lei; Lidl, sector 4; Carrefour Șos.vergului, no. 20, sector 2 – fines of 5,000 lei; Auchan, sector 4.
