Piatrs Saudi Arabia Grand Prix beats Verstapen / Day
Piatrs have won three of the last four races and took the lead from Lando Norris.
At the start, Verstapen (« Red Bull ») was protected only after shortening the track on the safety bar. Although the Dutchman held a five -second penalty in front of him.
After the start, some laps on the track had a safety car, as Verstapen’s teammate Juki Cunoda and Pierre Gasley collided.
Verstapen remained ahead of the Pyast after going on the safety car, but returned behind the Australian after serving a penalty during the boxing visit. After all the pilots had been to the pitstop, the Piatrs became the leader and Verstapen followed him.
In the last lap, the two were separated by two and a half seconds and the Piatrs defended the victory. Charles Leker (« Ferrari ») saw the third tank of the box, which in the end was suffered by Norris, who started competition from the fifth row.
The six were finished by both « Mercedes » pilots George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, followed by Lewis Hamilton (« Ferrari »), Carlos Sains Junior, Alexander Albon (both « Williams »), but the last one at the point was Isak Hajar (RB).
In the overall standings, the leader has 99 points, Noris has 89 and Verstapen is 87. Stable fourth with 73 points is Russell.
McLaren ranks first in the Constructors Cup with 188 points, Mercedes 111 points, 89 – Red Bull and 78 – Ferrari.
This season’s F-1 Championship will host 24 rounds.
Last season, Max Verstapen, a Netherlands, became the champion for the fourth time in a row, but McLaren celebrated victory in the Constructor Cup.
