Stating that the population of Northern Cyprus has aged rapidly in the same way in recent years, the fact that the elderly population has increased by all authorities and should prepare their policies in this direction, Taşseven said that home care services should be carried out in an integrated manner in plans and projects for the elderly.

Stating that these studies are tried to be carried out by the Local Governments and Basic Health Services Department in the country, Taşseven said:

“Bülent Ecevit Rehabilitation Center, Lapta Nursing Home and Kalkanlı Life House tries to provide services within the state, but the government, which is the execution of the state, does not fulfill its duties properly.

Those who do not see enough interest and support from the state search for the remedy in private nursing homes or try to look at their own patients and elderly themselves. However, in today’s economic conditions, almost all of the family members work, because the elderly care is usually unlimited, inexperienced, sometimes with caregivers who do not speak the same language. ”

Taşseven, who reminiscent of the past in a special nursing home, made some criticism.

Pointing out that the average age of foreigners in the country is over 75, Taşseven said that these people need maintenance, they need various services in their homes, this is one of the most basic human rights.

Taşseven stated that the apartments under the roof of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, local administrations, non -governmental organizations and related associations will also contribute to the policies that will contribute to Taşseven, argued that the politicians related to the elderly do not have a plan.

Stating that there are serious physicians, personnel and infrastructure deficiencies in basic health as in therapeutic institutions in the country, Taşseven said, “The biggest missing health policies are.
