A protest meeting of a group that calls itself Iceland across categories took place on Austurvöllur today, but when photographer mbl.is was in the garden, almost a hundred people had gathered, many with the Icelandic flag erected.
It was another group’s protest meeting, but the former attracted a lot of attention and harsh criticism, but then there was a rhythm between the group’s protesters and the protesters who called for protest against racism.
Want a five -year break
The company’s meeting invitation states that the meeting was held due to the government’s policy on asylum seekers’ affairs, but in the claims that followed the invitation, it is requested, among other things, that asylum seekers be stored in a closed remedy or sent out of the country during a background study and that those who come back without a certificate will be sent back.
It was also requested that a five -year break be made on the processing of new asylum applications.
The attendees were Baldur Borgþórsson, former deputy mayor, Jón Magnússon Supreme Court Attorney and Ágústa Árnadóttir.
Protesters were encouraged to meet with the Icelandic flag and the good mood.
Sigfús Aðalsteinsson, the company’s advocate, was among the speakers.
