Columna-Scor, the most representative trade union federation of social assistance, organized a protest action at the Ministry of Finance today.

The manifestation triggered under the slogan « Respect social assistance », with strident sound from whistles and vuvuzees, with national and union flags.

It was requested to update the cost standard that has not been updated since 2022. Availability, medical and social assistants have been announced: « … our colleagues go home … shame! Shame on you! ”

“The problem is to those who have to ensure financing. Shame! … Social assistance cannot work without people and money. Shame! »

There are over 200,000 people working in this sector. They want to be paid on time. « We want respect! »

« We must not only defend our rights, but also those of our assistants. »

The sound protest lasted until 12.30, when the protesters began to withdraw to the shade, because until then they had authorization. But inside the institution, the negotiations continued. In the end, the trade union leader said that discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Finance will continue. He also said that there are 15 trials in court for salary cuts.

A social nurse was hurt during the protest, but he returned after the intervention of the gendarmes and firefighters.

A factor that occurred in the context was the appearance of the « Dacian stegar », Cezar Cătălin Avămuță, who sent his impressions about his online followers.
