On Wednesday, June 4, Estonia celebrates the 141st anniversary of the Estonian Flag Day. In Narva, the celebration took place in the North Court of the Narva Castle.
The flags who came to the Narva Day were able to see the performance of local creative groups. The program continued the program for the awarding of the teams of the city quest « Flag over the city ». And the possibility of treating to a delicious, “thematic” cake was crowned.
As Natalya Varakin, the chief specialist of the Narva Culture Department, told the Narva newspaper, her colleagues wanted to come up with something not quite traditional by the Flag Day, which is repeated from year to year, and that could attract more people.
So the idea arose to hold a quest that would be built on issues related to the flag and history of Estonia. “This idea was implemented by our technical partner, the Narva company Questme, which has been developing city quests since 2014,” said Varakina. “Since this year we celebrate the 141st anniversary of the Estonian flag, it was decided that the number of its participants would be symbolic-141 people.”
The winners of the quest were called three teams, all of them are families from Narva. The interactive game, according to the Narvityans, was not from the lungs, they could not find the answer to some points.
The quest will remain accessible after the celebration of the Flag Day: during the summer, anyone will be able to pass it – until the number of participants reaches 141.
The weather on this day pleased with warmth, and the festive mood was supported by the Yun-Ost dance ensemble and kids from the Vanalinna kindergarten.
