Split police reported that she received a report about an injured man on Matoseva Street just before 10pm last night.

The man was urgently transported to a hospital where he was detained for treatment, and the police confirmed that a 48-year-old Croatian citizen was arrested on whom a criminal investigation was underway on suspicion of murder attempt.

An investigation was carried out at the scene under the supervision of the pronoun of the County State’s Attorney. During the day, police continue to conduct a criminal investigation to shed light on all the circumstances of this dramatic attack.

The arrested man was filmed at an emergency reception of the Firule Hospital. Recall that the location of the attack is in front of the Fast Food Food facility « Pistaccio », where a part of the street near the bus stop was enclosed soon upon the arrival of the police.

Traces of blood were visible on the ground, and police officers searched the surrounding area in search of potential evidence. One lane of Matoš Street was closed to traffic.

According to unofficial information, the injured man was trying to escape after a stabbed and take refuge in a nearby fast food.

The person suspected of committing the attack initially moved away in the direction of Berislavic Street, but later returned to the scene herself, where police officers brought him.
