On Saturday, May 10, hundreds of Narvityans gathered together to enjoy the time spent by time, the integration fund reports. At an organized festival, children and adults took part in fascinating classes that introduced the traditions of different countries of Europe.
Creative figures of both Ida-Virumaa and other corners of Estonia helped get acquainted with the variety of European cultures. The famous storyteller Polina Cherkasova opened the door to the magical world of the fairy tales of the peoples of Europe. The talented artist of the circus Silven Ulala revealed circus secrets. The football freestyeler Eno Lints masterfully demonstrated spectacular tricks with the ball. The whole family could participate in the creation of a public garden and sing along with the tandem-choir of the House of the Estonian language. The holiday ended with a bright concert of Curly String.
“Today’s holiday has shown how many unites us. Narva, Ida-Viruma, Estonia, Europe-our common home. Thousands of people and hundreds of communities live here, and the wealth of cultures has become part of our daily life. And even if we are all different, but it is precisely such moments as this holiday that show that we have even more in common – for example, the pleasure of the time spent together, ”said Anna Farafonova, head of the Estonian language of the integration fund.
Family day has become the first regional event that the House of the Estonian language of the integration fund will be held in Ida-Virumaa with the support of the European Union as part of the project for a cohesion program “Support for the integration of events for communities”.
