Philip is the winner of ‘Dinner for 5’!
The last day ‘Dinner for 5‘In Slavonski Brod and the surrounding area in Gornji Slatinik Marijan, Marija, Biljana and Philip hosted Željko. He scored 39 points for his dinner – he received nine points from Philip, who did not like the dessert, and he was named the winner of this week’s ‘Dinner for 5’.
The host began the preparation with the main meal, which he called the ‘Empire of taste’, and it was a chicken and pork stuffed with vegetables. The chicken rolls were stuffed with dried tomatoes and kajmak, and pigs dried plums, cheese and homemade sausage, and both species wrapped in bacon.
With the cutting of vegetables for the main course, his son Michael jumped in to the aid. He then prepared ‘ethno snacks’, the popular antique Slavonian dessert points, and at the end of the peppers stuffed with homemade cheese served with the pumps were an appetizer called ‘Shocking Topez’.
« I think it will be very good, relaxed, cheerful, cheerful, » Mary commented on her way to the host.
Željko welcomed them with aperitifs and domestic buns and dried plums in bacon, which were especially liked by Mariana. « There were also buns and buhtlicas and pies there was nothing there was, » Filip commented.
The appetizer liked the guests, but Mary and Biljana admitted that there was so much of everything that they did not know where they would start at all. « Everyone commented on something and talked, and I was just silent, dishes and enjoying eating, all praise, » Marijana was pleased.
The main course, which the host served with potatoes and vegetable sauce, liked the guests extremely, although they also commented on this dish that the portion was overwhelming. « It’s really a taste of taste, » guests agreed.
« I think he gave us all this heart. He wanted to give us a lot to us, and he passed it on to plates, » Biljana said, adding the host: « I wouldn’t change anything. From so much cooking and preparation to put one piece on a plate – there is no point. »
The dessert also liked most of the teams, but not to Philip who admitted that he did not like the sweets that are fried in oil or fat. Mariana, however, admitted that, although she did not otherwise prefer desserts involving pig fat, her dessert was great.
After dinner, the team was joined by Zeljko’s son Marin to share their gifts, and then the team headed to the yard, where they played and sang KUD Kresimir Simic from Podcrkavlje and the Tamburitza group ‘Rakijas’.
« The surprise very well, they sing very nicely, » Biljana was pleased, like other guests. Everyone agreed that Zeljko was an excellent host, and Filip added: « He was a very good host, he worked so much, he wanted so much and I think he had killed a little bit. »
It remains to declare the winner. The second place with 39 points was shared by Marija, Biljana and Zeljko, and first with 40 Marijana and Filip won. The team decided that this week’s victory belongs to Philip.
« I didn’t expect at all, I can’t believe it and I am without a word. I don’t know what to say, I’m not going to cry, but these are people who are experienced and now I beat them next to them. I didn’t think about what to do with the award, but first it comes to my mind to bring my tax back from the apartment, » said the winner.
