He estimated that in the first two months of this year there is a slightly better collection in all taxes compared to the same period in 2024, and especially with personal income tax for which the main component is the salary tax paid in paying.
-Ideal and theoretical case is the revenue collection to be even 8.33 percent on a monthly basis, but each month has certain seasonal characteristics and tendencies in revenue collection. For the time being, I can say that compared to January and February last year we have a slightly better collection in all taxes and all items that represent personal income tax. We have a slightly lower collection of 2024 for two items- the income tax on games of chance and in the income tax from dividends, which is probably due to some tendencies of taxpayer behavior- said Petrova.
He emphasized that these are not significant differences in collecting those two last items and added that it should wait, as there are two more days by the end of the month to see the results.
-APP itself sets the monthly plan for revenue collection, and the Ministry of Finance gives us an annual plan. In the PRO we make a plan for the monthly dynamics and monthly collection each month compared to historical data on how it was moving in previous years. We have to wait for the last two days of February and next week we will have the exact idea of how the collection is moving, as this week was the VAT collection, ie the VAT payment day was on Tuesday, and we received the data on Wednesday. There are also some late payments that have to wait these two days. That's why next week we will have the exact idea of whether we are within the dynamics that is in the historical tendencies in previous years and whether we are still fulfilling- Petrova said.
