Persection hunt to Belgium: driver provided
On Friday morning there was a chase from Luxembourg city to the neighboring country of Belgium, at the end of which the escape driver could be arrested. The police informed about this by press release, from which the events continued around 10 a.m.
Originally, the officials had been reported to an argument that was not described in more detail between two people in the capital Route de Thionville. When the police arrived, one of the participants moved away in a car. The vehicle could be identified shortly afterwards at Salzhof, but did not react to indicating signals.

This was followed by a chase via the A6 and the Aire de Capellen to Belgium. Thanks to the Benelux Agreement, the police said, the Luxembourg officials were able to continue the persecution across the border. The wild trip ended near Messancy when the driver had an accident and was arrested by Luxembourg and Belgian police officers. Since he was injured in the accident, the escape driver is currently being treated in a Belgian hospital.
